DESIGN IS EVERYWHERE spielt mit unseren diversen Vorstellungen
„WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?“ und fordert die Betrachter dazu

Material: neon tubes, plexi glass
Dimension: 60 x 30 cm (2x)
Edition: 3 + 1 AP
Ed 1/3 & 2/3 is sold
The installation deals with the mutual interrelation of trust and questioning, and is a symbol for the uncertainty in our society.
The question of whether it is better to trust or to question cannot be answered in a generalized way, since it always depends on the circumstances.
However, since circumstances are seldom clear and difficult to assess due to their complexity, many find themselves again and again in a vicious circle of decision making.
Material: neon tubes Novial Gold Yellow, (black plexi glass)
Dimension: 200 x 100 cm
Edition: 3 + 1 AP
Ed 1/3 is sold
Especially in these partly dark times the question Do you see the light? is one of the most important ones.
The self-referential wit for a light work is obvious. But it is the multi-layered meaning what makes this Artwork so special.
Since 2019 the Edition 1 of 3 is part of a top-class private art collection in the center of Munich.
Material: neon tubes, plexi glass
Dimension: 180 x 100 cm
Edition: 3 + 1 AP
Ed 1/3 is sold
The installation asks one of the most important questions of all.
Moreover, it is self-referential in a fundamental way and seems to lead itself ad absurdum without being senseless.
Questions that are considered wrong are often those that hit the “sore spot”.
The Edition 2017 was presented at Istanbul Contemporary and caused a great furore.
Material: neon tubes
Dimension: 100 x 57 cm
Edition: 3 + 1 AP
Ed 1/3 & 2/3 is sold
The neon installation who cares raises the question of our social responsibility in an ambiguous manner. It is at the same time the eponymous piece to the exhibition WHO CARES – Social Responsibility in Contemporary Art. With this work Jan Kuck points out above all the dilemma of those who attempt to act right in our ever more complex world, and fail inevitably. One can therefore be almost positive that the avoidance of mistakes often leads to new mistakes. WHO CARES is therefore also a statement about the complexity of our society and its inherent absurdity.
The smaller Version of I want to be an artist too became the first lot at the benefiz auction for the Pinakothek der Moderne München in 2015 and was auctioned at five times the gallery price.
After one year the entire edition including the artist proof (AP) was sold out.
